CUBIST STYLE PAINTING - ALL DAY WORKSHOP WITH FARIDA EVANS

Explore how Cubism emerged in the early 1900s. Create

initial sketches of still-life objects from multiple viewpoints,

working with a limited colour palette using oils, acrylics or

gouache. Simplify and abstract forms into geometric shapes

and structured compositions. Build paintings through layers,

fragmented forms, and overlapping viewpoints, a hallmark of

Cubist art. Develop a personal visual rhythm while learning

how to balance abstraction with recognisable subject matter.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have produced

a Cubist-inspired still-life painting that emphasises structure,

fragmentation, and multiple perspectives rather than realistic

representation
